A slow, ongoing project. Here's an honest state of things.

Built in

• Alt text is a required field on every artwork.
• Keyboard-navigable header, footer and forms, with a visible focus ring on controls.
• Body text at 15px minimum; line-height 1.6.
• Semantic HTML for headings, lists and forms; every form control has a real label.
• Secondary "pencil" text audited and darkened to meet the 4.5:1 contrast bar in both themes.

How we check

Every change is checked automatically for common accessibility problems before it ships, and the site is scanned page by page with the same tools screen-reader users' browsers rely on. Automated checks catch roughly a third of the issues that matter, so we also test by keyboard and by hand.

Still working on

• Screen-reader labels on the moderator queue.
• Reduced-motion variants on the prompt band.
